M. M. Nazrul Islam(Mallick) was born in 1980 in chitalmari upazilla at Bagerhat district. His childhood memories belong to Bagerhat. He is the fourth amongst six children of freedom fighter Mr. Mallick Sherajul Hoque and Ms. Hasina Begum. His father used to spend his life for the betterment of the society and involved in business. His father established a girls school in 1972 at chitalmari. He was very affectionate about education development sector.
Mallick passed his SSC from Khulna Public College, Boyra, Khulna in 1997 and HSC from NotreDame College in 1999 with science background holding 87%+ marks in both exams. He completed his MBA from PrimeAsia University in the field of textile marketing and merchandising and awarded with chancellor’s gold medal and completed his Bachelor’s Degree(6 th in position) in Industrial and production engineering(IPE) from the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), Dhaka and has been associated with the development of the garments industry in Bangladesh since 2005 as a professional.
He is director of Manvill Styles Ltd. and holding the position of Deputy Managing Director of the Company in March 2012. His experience encompasses areas of Factory management development, creation of strategic alliances, business development, and strategic planning and marketing. He has vast knowledge about industrial engineering tools and techniques, lean manufacturing tools and techniques. He has been spending his entire career for the development of efficient middle management for the industries and feels proud to see the smile faces of his fellow colleagues. He is trying to establish a buying house which will help to solve the problems for the factories who don’t have international exposure and contacts.
He has previously worked in Apex Group (Apex Holdings Ltd), where he held a number of positions including Assistant general Manager – Planning, Industrial Engineering & lean manufacturing and Manager – Planning. He also worked in FCI (BD) Ltd, where he held position of executive (Planning and Merchandising).
Mallick carries a background of working for education sector and social issues as like his father and grandfather. He is donar member of Hasina Begum girls High school and holding the post of member for the governing body of the school since 2014. This school was named based on his mother. He has been an active member of the following social organizations: BUET Gradutes Club Ltd., Club notredamian Bangladesh Ltd., Notredamian-99, Chitalmari Jubo unnoyon somity, Ex-KPCian, Lion club, Welfare association of Apparrel & Textile professionals of Bangladesh, Souhardo. Moreover, Mr. Mallick has articles in three international journals.
He is happily married to Mrs. Mimnun Sultana who has been serving as assistant professor at United International University. She has Completed her Bsc from BUET and MBA from Dhaka University. She is pursuing her Phd degree now.
Mallick is working to establish “SSC-97|HSC-99” group as the leading batch based social media group for the betterment of the same age buddies as well as national needs. He is also doing the similar activities for the “NDC99-The Notredamian”, “Swapnik 99-The Buetiens”, “Chitalmari”.
Last but not the least Mallick is the sole proprietor of a local brand “ Pink and Blue” for ladies and kids apparels items and “ Crazy Cat” for the Mens Apparels items. Pink and Blue is ensuring affordable price with quality products.
