MD Mostafizur Rahman was born in a practicing Muslim family of MD Sharif Uddin and Most Tahrun Nessa. His Father was a Police Inspector (started serving the country as sub-inspector from 1973 ; got his retirement from service as Inspector in 2010) and Mother dedicated herself full time for the family only.
Though Mostafizur Rahman’s is official permanent address in Dhaka, but his parents are from Rajshahi (Mother side) and Naogon (Father side and Father in Law). Currently he is living with his parents and brother under same roof in Mirpur -12 (Pallabi), Dhaka-1216.
Due to the constantly changing posting of his father, he spent his early childhood in different regions of North Bengal. His schooling career commenced from Dhaka but he attended almost 9 schools onwards one by one. Among those, MDC Model Institute Mirpur, Hatibandha SS high School (Lalmonirhad District – from this school he achieved government scholarship at class VIII) and Shaheed Mamun Mahmud High School (commonly known as) are mentionable. Later, he completed his SSC Exam from Rajshahi (Arts)and afterwards completed HSC from Notre Dame College in 1999 (Humanities)
As a proud graduate from Dhaka University, Mostafizur received B.A (Honors) and MA degree from Arts faculty in the department of Information science and Library management. Apart from academic studies he was actively involved with Rotaract Club – Rotaract club of AARONG.
After graduation, he indulged himself pursuing a career in the Readymade Garments Industry. During his service period to keep himself up-dated with the professional academic skill needs completed his MBA from National Institute of Fashion Technology under National University Bangladesh with a major in merchandizing.
Throughout his career he had been mostly in local and internationally reputed multinational garment factories and Trading companies and retail brands. Currently Mostafizur is working in a European one of the largest retail brands as merchandiser. Prior to his current role he was a passionate apparel quality control and assurance expert. His hunger for knowledge still endures at this age as he is still occupied with studies besides job career and pursuing knowledge in Supply Chain Management
Mostafizur is a passionate researcher of socio-economic and cultural history of Bangladesh. He has always been a history lover. His field of interest also comprises changes in political environment both local and international arena. He has been playing very active role in social networking and welfare of the community as well as team.
Mostafizur Rahman is the second of three brothers. His elder brother Hafizur Rahman is living in Australia as a citizen along with his wife, he was Ex-cadet of Pabna Cadet College; Younger brother Mohammad Aminur Rahman an Ex-Notredamian. He had his BA honors and MA degree in English literature from Jahangir Nagar University- now he is currently serving in a private university as Lecturer, English news presenter in Radio Bangladesh and Entrepreneur as well as soft skill developer).
Beside as son, a friend Mostafizur got married on 2007. His wife is a government service holder as an Auditor in Accountant General’s office of Bangladesh. She had her BSC (Honors) and MSC degree in Geology and Mining from Rajshahi university. Prior to her government job as like as her husband she was also in RMG sector as Compliance manager in local garments factory. This happily married couple is having a of nine years old cute daughter who is taking her education in reputed English medium English which is founded by our SSC -97 I HSC – 99 friends.
